I love Batkid . Batkid is my hero . This family supports Batkid .....How? And yes, it's a touching story, but what about the others with no media coverage that haven't been blessed with a miracle from the Make a Wish Foundation? A ton of people have been sharing the Batkid story and don't get me wrong, that's awesome! Spreading the philanthropic spirit is important to our existence. However, it's easy to hit like , feel warm and fuzzy and then forget about the other 13,000+ children diagnosed with cancer each year and their families that have insurmountable debt because of the thousands of dollars they are spending each DAY to keep their child alive. On behalf of Baby Joey, I'm asking that you don't forget. He doesn't have the media coverage or the Make a Wish Foundation to shut down a city for him; however, Baby Joey IS a hero fighting his own battle right here in our community. Please open your hearts and join us this evening anytime between 5 and 9 p.m. for a spaghetti dinner and raffle/auction at the VFW Hall located at 2801 Hatch Road in Modesto. Tickets are only $10 at the door (take-out is available as well). All proceeds will go to the medical care of Baby Joey who is fighting Leukemia. Please share this post and we hope to see you there!! http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/baby-joey/81863
